Weekending

If we had no winter the spring wouldn't be so pleasant. #inspiring #quotes original artwork from http://www.inspirational-quotes-about-life.net/yourlife.html

Days keep passing but spring keeps eluding us. This past weekend mother nature thought it would be hilarious to send snow flurries. But this girl is ready for her favorite season to be here and is not amused. I’m crossing my fingers for better weather this coming week and beyond.

Friday was spent planning and doing spring cleaning around the house. I’m in the middle of cleaning/organizing my closet which will hopefully be done in the next week and I can’t wait to share it with you! I also have some awesome posts lined up that I hope you guys enjoy. We also purchased our tickets to Jacksonville (Carson will be leaving the 6th and I will be leaving the 10th). He will be working during the week and on Friday we’ll drive down to visit his sick grandmother for 5 days.

Saturday involved binge watching TV and spending quality time with Carson. I am almost done watching Prison Break and we caught up on this weeks Blacklist, Arrow, Flash and Law and Order SVU. Obviously when I marathon I marathon hard. I also recieved the dress that I’m going to wear to my friends bridal brunch in the mail this weekend and I just have to wrap her present and I’m all ready!

Sunday was church and hero day. Let me explain: Carson and I were visiting our friend in Walmart and this distraught young girl walked up to us and asked us if we had seen her phone. We had not and she couldn’t find it anywhere so she was on the verge of tears. Carson, being the awesome and helpful person that he is, offered to look for it and put it into his find my iPhone app. We then discovered that the phone was a few minutes drive from the store so Carson and I drove over while the girl waited. Me, being the super anxious one, was convinced that someone was going to get hurt because we ended up finding it in a community of double wides inside of a car. How did we get the phone back? Carson literally walked up to the door of the house while I waited in the car (cue panic attack) and spoke with the people inside who it turned out had grabbed the phone thinking it was their friends and had left it in the car. They gave it back to us and we returned it to the very relieved girl. End of happy story! I’m so lucky to have a man in my life that would go out of his way to help others.

We also had dinner with my parents Sunday night which was really nice since we were able to catch up and make plans for the next week when Carson and I will be in Florida and will need someone to take care of our kitty.

What was your favorite part of the weekend?

I’m linking up with B Loved Boston and Champagne and Suburbs for Weekending.
