Hi everyone! Fall is here and I’ve seen Instagram fill up with those gorgeous seasonal Starbucks cups but of course every Starbucks I’ve gone to doesn’t have them – so is fall really here? … YES! Despite the lack of pretty cups and the weather still being pretty warm during the day here in Maryland, I have already jumped on the fall bandwagon. I’m going to share a few of my favorites right now:
- Clothing: I am in love with this jacket that I purchased from Gap. It is so perfect for fall and I know I’m going to be wearing it all the time (I might have already worn it every single day of fall this year…)
- Show: Elementary. I know…Another Sherlock spin off. But, this is great and gives a unique twist to the story because Sherlock is now in New York, John Watson is now Joan Watson and she is his sober companion! If you love the BBC Sherlock I highly recommend you check this show out while you wait for another 3 episodes of Benedict Cumberbatch.
- Quote: This quote has been one of my favorites for a very long time. I loved it so much that I chose it as my senior quote in highschool and I don’t think it will every be untrue. Ever since I first laid eyes upon this quote it has resonated with me. In my opinion, it is brilliant – because we as human beings love to seperate ourselves into categories. The problem with categories is that it creates a mentality of “us and them” but when it really comes down to it, languages, skin colors, religions etc. do not create impassable barriers. They are just slight differences and variations in the human race and we are very similar at our core. It’s important, especially now, to remember that we have much more in common than we do not. Bonus points if you know who said this quote: hint, it’s actually from a book.
I’m off to enjoy my niece’s 13th birthday now but would love to hear what you’ve been loving this week.
