Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!! I am so excited for this weekend and all of our plans. Not going to lie, on Saturday we’re going to see Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in concert so obviously one of my favorites today has to be Harry Potter related. Linking up with Amanda, April, Karli, Katie, Erika and Monica today. Book: YES. So excited to have Harry Potter back in my life, even if it is in play format. Now I just have to wait for them to bring it to the U.S.! Show: Jane the Virgin. One of my best friends loves this show and has been telling me to watch it for a really long time…so I finally did it and am on Season 2 already. So obsessed and in love. It is hilarious and has lots of plot twists. Recipe: These Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps from the Cheesecake factory. Absolutely delicious!! You can find the recipe here. I’m obsessed. Pretty sure I’ll be eating them every day for at least the next month, sorry hubby. Product: A spa …

Friday Favorites

I can’t believe it’s already Friday – this week flew by! I’m linking up with Amanda today since I haven’t done my favorites in what feels like forever! Favorite TV Show: The hubby (eek! still get excited just from saying it) and I recently finished binging Raising Hope which originally I didn’t think I would like. But as with 99% of shows that he suggests, I ended up loving it. Basic plot: the main character has a child with a serial killer before he knows who she is and then when she gets executed he gets stuck with the baby and figuring out how to raise her with the help of his crazy family and friends. It’s hilarious, cute, lighthearted and quirky (plus it has a great ending!!). Favorite Summer Outfit: I’m 100% a fan of casual clothing, especially in the summer and this outfit is a perfect everyday kind of look. Minus the ripped shorts. I don’t know why but I’ve never been able to get behind that trend even though I like how …

Valentine’s Day Treats

Valentine’s Day is almost upon us, and to avoid the craziness Carson and I have plans to make a nice dinner together. Nothing is sweeter than dessert (except the love of your sweetheart of course) so I thought I would share with you some of my favorite ideas for a Valentine’s Day dessert. Raspberry (or any fruit) Chocolate Cups! 2. The Chocolate Ball (I’ve seen this magic floating around Facebook recently)   3. Classic Chocolate Covered Strawberries 4. An Edible Arrangement! Bonus: you don’t have to prepare anything and it’s delicious. 5. Pepperoni Pizza Roses (for a more savory treat!) What are your plans for the weekend?? Any delicious treats planned? Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! This week has been crazy as I am preparing to take a major exam, getting all of my recommendation letters in line, wedding planning and preparing for my best friends Bridal Shower. But I’m loving every second of it and wanted to share with you some of my favorite things from this week – especially some of my favorite blog posts! 1) Favorite Food I’m always a fan of sushi and this week I’ve had it three times (wish it was more like 7!) Totally obsessed. 2) Favorite New Show This show is right up my alley and I’m so excited to see how relationships develop and where they go with it! 3) Favorite Fall Drink I mentioned that I love hot apple cider when fall hits in this post. What could be better than hot apple cider? Apple Cider Sangria that get’s it’s warmth from alcohol! You can find the recipe over at How Sweet It Is. 4) Favorite Fall Outfit I love casual layered looks – so cute and still looks …

Fall Favorites

Hi everyone! Fall is here and I’ve seen Instagram fill up with those gorgeous seasonal Starbucks cups but of course every Starbucks I’ve gone to doesn’t have them – so is fall really here? … YES! Despite the lack of pretty cups and the weather still being pretty warm during the day here in Maryland, I have already jumped on the fall bandwagon. I’m going to share a few of my favorites right now: Clothing: I am in love with this jacket that I purchased from Gap. It is so perfect for fall and I know I’m going to be wearing it all the time (I might have already worn it every single day of fall this year…) Show: Elementary. I know…Another Sherlock spin off. But, this is great and gives a unique twist to the story because Sherlock is now in New York, John Watson is now Joan Watson and she is his sober companion! If you love the BBC Sherlock I highly recommend you check this show out while you wait for another …

Friday Favorites

Hello Friday! I can’t believe this is the last weekend in August and summer is winding down – haven’t gotten to the beach yet but there’s still time, right?!  Also, what do you think of the above image? It was my first attempt at using PicMonkey! Food – Oatmeal  I’m late to the party but I have recently fallen in love with oatmeal and I also now know that I prefer steel cut oats to rolled oats! I love adding a little bit of honey and some fruit for a quick healthy breakfast. 2. Workout – Fit, Fierce and Fabulous  I’ve had this book for a while now but have finally started using it! I am on day 3 of 28 and am loving it! There are great recipes, encouragements and the exercise plan is easy to follow. 3. Book – The Opal Deception  I took a break from my reading challenge books because I hit a wall with Love in the Time of Cholera and decided to read this instead. It only took about …

Friday Favorites {New England Edition}

Since last week I talked about Maryland I thought it was only fair if this week was dedicated to my fiances neck of the woods – specifically Vermont and the rest of New England. The scenery/nature. The mountains and lakes are absolutely gorgeous and make me understand Carson’s insistence that Vermont is one of the most beautiful places on earth. The community. I love that his family lives in a small town where everyone knows everyone and how it feels safe and relaxed.  The proximity to many great travel destinations (Canada, Boston, NYC and Niagara Falls to name a few).  It’s a very environmentally friendly and aware state – it’s not uncommon to see solar farms!  It’s the place where we got engaged!! I’m linking up with Meet at the Barre for Friday Favorites!
